Make Money With Amazon

May 30, 2008 by W3 Buck

I’m sure you’ve already known something about Amazon, it is so popular that even kids know it. There are more and more people using it to buy and sell. This is where money come from. Remember one thing, where there is people, there is money. Here is a guide on making money with Amazon.com, read it carefully and you will be benefit from it.

1. Learn some basic HTML

You have to do this to keep your costs down and still get what you want. Even if the site is basically laid out for you, you’re going to need to know how to insert images, create hyperlinks, and do some basic text formatting. The best place to learn HTML is W3Schools.com, there are tons of tutorials you can learn.

2. Choose your topic

You’re going to be doing product reviews and recommendations, so pick a topic that you enjoy and know something about. If you can’t stay passionate about the topic, that will show, and it also won’t hold your interest. Choose a narrow enough niche to be distinctive, e.g., bands from your city, left-handed guitarists, music for a certain kind of dancing, authors of a certain religion, books about arts & crafts, etc.

3. Choose your domain name and web hosting

Make it keyword-rich, not clever. Think how people will find your site in the search engines. Keep it short and easily remember. For domain name provider, I recommend Godaddy.com, for web hosting, I recommend CirtexHosting.com.

4. Launch your website

You can launch a website in minutes with software like WordPress, which is the best blog software, you will find it is a perfect to build professional blog and you will love it quite soon. After installing WordPress in your server, you can begin to build your niche site.

5. Sign up as an Amazon Associate

It’s simple and free. Just visit Amazon and click on the Join Associates link at the bottom of the page (here’s a direct link for your convenience). Your site should already have at least the basic setup done, even if you don’t have any content there yet. There are many options to make money with Amazon, you can see details in your account after you join them.

6. Create your blog posting bookmarks/links

There are two links that are going to be essential for you to make this easy. First is the blog posting link. In your blog software, on the posting page (see their instructions), at the bottom of the page there should be a “bookmarklet”. Click on the link (and hold the mouse) and drag it up to your Links toolbar in your browser (assuming Internet Explorer), or your Favorites menu. This will allow you to blog a product with one mouse click.

7. Create your Amazon Build-A-Link bookmark/link

This will make it easy to build the link with your affiliate ID built in. Log in to Associates Central, look in the left navigation sidebar, go to Build-A-Link, and under Static Links, find Individual Items. Click and drag this onto your Links toolbar or Favorites menu.

8. Build your first link

Go to Amazon and find the product you want to review. Scroll down to Product Details and find the ASIN or ISBN. Double-click on the number itself to select it, then right-click and choose Copy. Click on your Amazon Build-A-Link link. Right-click in the search field and choose Paste. Change the selection from Served Link to You Host. Click Go. Your selection should show up. Click Get HTML. Choose the kind of link you want, select the highlighted text and copy it.

9. Blog your review

Now click on your blog posting link (Press It! by default in WordPress). If you’re using WordPress, you should now see two pieces of link code in your posting form, the first one ending with “Associates Build-A-Link >< /a >”. Delete through that point. The second part is a link to the product with your Amazon Associate ID built in. Now just write your product review, choose the appropriate categories for it, and hit Publish.

10. Build out your site

Before you promote your site, you need to write some good and useful contents on your site, so others will like them. For example, you can write some product reviews which related to your topic.

11. Promote Your Site

The best free way to do this is to communicate with other bloggers writing about similar topics, and to participate in online communities where your topic is discussed. You can join the biggest blog community Blogcatalog and begin to promote your site to them.

12. Begin To Collect Cash

The left thing you can do is begin to collect cash and put them into your pocket ( deposit into your bank account will be better ).

13. Last word

The better thing of Amazon is that they have a eStore program, you can build your own affiliate shop with it, choose quality products to fill it. It allows you to customize the looking and layout, you can build your very personal eStore with this program. Here is a video tutorial teaching you how to do that:

Now you have all tools in your hand, whether you can make money or not, it all depends on yourself.

You will continue to be poor enough to eat ash if you put all your eggs into one basket, I mean if you put all your effort on one money maker, you won’t be rich on internet. Internet is a very very large marketing that all of us can make use of it.

I often someone say that he earns only 5 dollars per day from Google Adsense, this is all his revenue. He doesn’t use any other advertising networks. What a poor guy!

Yeah, needless to say, Google Adsense is the biggest money maker for most webmasters, but it is not the only choice you can make. Why not consider to turn your website into a money making machine? I mean why not try Chitika, the number one advertising network for blogs?

Chitika offers many kinds of advertising formats, it’s the best alternative to Adsense.

Chitika is compatible with Adsense perfectly, you can put Adsense before your article, and put Chitika after your article. Why to do that? You know, Adsense pays higher when your ad shows in the higher place of your site, but Chitika pays the same money wherever you put your ads. See? These two advertising networks are like brother and sister.

Now let’s take a look at how Chitika ads look like:

Chitika

Since you’ve realized how important Chitika, why not join Chitika right now? There is no reason that you won’t make money from Chitika. Most of us can promise. Of course the premise is that you really work hard on it.

THe War Between Microsoft And Yahoo Is Over

May 4, 2008 by W3 Buck

There are too much talking about Microsoft buying Yahoo, after a long time’s bargain, now the war between Microsoft and Yahoo is over. Microsoft gives it up. Who is the winner? No winner!

See these message from New York Times:

Microsoft said Saturday that it was abandoning its blockbuster bid to acquire Yahoo after it raised its offer by $5 billion but Yahoo rejected it as still too low.

The about-face followed a meeting on Saturday morning in Seattle between Microsoft’s chief executive, Steven A. Ballmer, and Yahoo’s chief and co-founder, Jerry Yang, according to a person familiar with the talks.

At the meeting, which also included Yahoo’s other founder, David Filo, and a Microsoft president who oversees its online unit, Kevin Johnson, Mr. Ballmer increased Microsoft’s offer to $33 a share, or a total of about $47.5 billion, from $29.40 a share. Mr. Yang told Mr. Ballmer that Yahoo would not accept an offer below $37 a share, this person said.

Needless to say, it seems that the reason that why Yahoo doesn’t sell Yahoo.com is that the money is not high enough to let human be crazy for it, but I don’t think so. I believe Yahoo doesn’t want to sell it at all! This is my personal opinion, please don’t tell others.

Google, Yahoo and Microsoft

So why I am talking about these things? I mean what’s the relationship between Yahoo and Making Money? You will know why if you are not live under rocks these years.

Google, Yahoo and MSN are the three largest search engines in the world, so if you are serious about making money online, you must learn to make good use of them.

Another thing, according to non-official statement, Microsoft and Yahoo will combine to beat Google. Woo! This is a bad thing for Google. This will be another war between Google and Microsoft, Yahoo. Who will win this game? We don’t know it yet, so let’s predict it. Leave your prediction here, Okay?

Make Money With AdSense

March 21, 2008 by W3 Buck

How to make money with AdSense” is one of the most popular topics in Internet marketing forums and the subject of many books and special reports. Its popularity isn’t surprising given the extensive coverage of AdSense in mainstream newspapers and magazines as well as the program’s importance in driving Google’s every-growing advertising revenues. Website and blog owners can’t help but perceive Google AdSense to be an easy way to make money online.

While it’s true that adding AdSense a web page is trivial — all you do is paste some JavaScript code that Google generates for you — learning how to make money with AdSense — especially how to really make money — is decidedly non-trivial. Like anything, it takes time and effort. There are no overnight successes with AdSense.

The key is to know what to work on. Four factors come into play:

  1. Traffic. By far the most important factor is how much traffic you can drive to your pages. After all, you only make money when visitors click (or in some cases view) the ads shown on your pages. If no one’s visiting your site, you won’t make any money. If you want to make more money with AdSense, you need more traffic. (That traffic should be targeted, too, otherwise smart pricing will kick in and reduce your earnings.)
  2. Niche. The niche you’re targeting also has a huge effect on your AdSense earnings. You need to target niches where advertisers are actively seeking customers: if there are no advertisers, you won’t make any money. The simplest test you can do is to search Google for related keywords and see how many ads appear in the “Sponsored Links” section on the right-hand side of the results page. If there are few or no ads, that’s a sign that the market’s not a big one and probably isn’t a great choice for monetization via AdSense. (But you may be able to monetize it in other ways.)
  3. Content. AdSense is all about content. It’s not about search results. It’s not about random collections of scraped data. There’s a reason why AdSense users are called publishers: it’s because they publish content. You need great content on your pages, written for humans and not search engines. Content is what’s going to keep visitors on your site, looking for the information they need. The longer they stay, the more chance they’ll click an ad.
  4. Optimization. Many AdSense publishers spend too much time trying to optimize their pages when they should be spending their time on getting more traffic and writing more content. Luckily, many AdSense optimization techniques do double duty as search engine optimization (SEO) techniques. Concentrate on the basics, like:
    • Blending ads by removing borders and matching colors.
    • Positioning the ads in the “hot spots” of a page.
    • Choosing the right ad formats.
    • Tracking performance with channels.

These and a few other techniques can make a dramatic difference in your earnings — but only if you have enough traffic.

Note that even a poorly-optimized AdSense site can make its publisher a lot of money if draws a lot of traffic with quality content in a competitive niche. Don’t place too much emphasis on AdSense optimization.

There are no secrets to earning money with AdSense. You just need to learn the right things. Take the time and effort to learn how to:

  • Drive traffic to your pages.
  • Find and exploit profitable niches.
  • Create valuable content.
  • Optimize pages for AdSense and SEO.

Master these skills and you’ll know exactly how to make money with AdSense!
