		<description>Please do not tell people to suck the wound, especially with their mouths.  This can lead to infection and worsen tissue damage.  If you intend to create some type of mild tourniquet device, please be sure that you know what you are doing. Also, there are only two snakebite antivenoms avaialabe in the US - one is for the coral snake and the other is for ALL venomous North American Crotalids.  If you don&#039;t live in an area where there are  coral snakes, then it&#039;s the other antivenom. If you live in an area where both snakes exist, a trained professional can tell the type of snake by the bite marks. Your best defense is a cell phone and a good knowledge of the area that you are in. If it&#039;s a remote area, the description of your location will be key.</description>
