You Are In Business, NOT a Business Opportunity

Get to know your business. Don’t join flaky internet opportunities. Make sure that you devote your time and resources to a solid, proven e-commerce business and stick with it. Do your homework, know your business. This philosophy applies here as it would as if you acquired any other business franchise, online or offline.
Now some of you may be thinking – “But I have to WORK at this …”
Now some of you may be thinking – “But I have to WORK at this …”
Everyone and his dog can say that they are “internet marketers” – and most of your friends will run, fearing that you are about to “mlm” them. It has a better ring to it when you can say to your friends that you run an “e-commerce business” doesn’t it! – and that should be the truth of the matter. They are then more likely to ask YOU for some details – that’s better than chasing them (which you should not do anyway.) Please bear in mind that, like anyone else who runs an e-commerce business, you still have to advertise, promote and market. Focus on getting like-minded people and let the business systems do the selling for you.
The internet is just another platform to conduct business, but business is still business. I am sure that you know what I am talking about here.
You have to WORK your business, you have to KNOW your business. This holds true whether you conduct business online or offline.
So if you have been a flea then stop right now, decide to work the e-commerce business you have chosen and make a decent income.
Let’s talk about the right mindset for succeeding online.

I am not talking about all those so called “business opportunities” out there. These so-called business models (mlm, cyclers, no sponsoring required etc …) Find a business that has a legitimate e-commerce business model where real-value products are exchanged for every payment made. Conduct an e-commerce business – this elevates you from being just an “internet marketer”.
Make it YOUR e-commerce business. Develop your mindset as a BUSINESS person, which you are, just as if you have opened your main street store and have put up your sign (which, for this alone, will set you back more than $2,000 in the offline world …)
One major comment I receive from new people joining my e-commerce business is “I am not good at marketing so will I just rely on my sponsor, and my sponsor’s sponsor, to see me through?”
Now my answer here is NOT to rely solely on the people who have brought you into your business at all! If they do help you then that is a bonus. If you feel that you are not a marketer then just decide, in your own mind, to learn how to do market. It CAN be done.
